RE: defense



I've gotta go with Lyle on this one.  Smacking rapidly moving missiles out
of the air with a melee weapon is VERY difficult.  Especially when the
missile has such a low profile like a crossbow bolt.  Also, I know I would
not be balsy enough to stand in front of a crossbow bolt flying at me just
because I thought I might have a chance in hell of knocking it out of the
air.  Like Lyle said, those people are also ready and waiting to beat
whatever missile is flying at them out of the air.  The only weapon I
could possibly see adding to MDV is a shield, since it already adds in
normal use.
