Isn't that what the defense skill is supposed to aloow you to do? Be ready
and waiting to block weapons (and projectiles) headed toward you?

I agree with you on the multiple attack from multiple opponents thing.
Maybe the defense skill should only allow you to block one attack with
your escalated DV per round. I can't see a person blocking two attacks
with there weapon at the exact same time.
