Dah... its that 'busily engaged in killing and defending part'
that even makes this tricky. Otherwise I'd volunteer to take
a swat at blocking some SCA mach-combat arrows. I'll swat a
spear any day of the week.
I'm not a trained killer. When I say I'm going to swat spears
its an absolute (nearly) that I'll swat it and it'll miss me.
Upping your MDV just says its going to be a bit harder. I don't
see an issue. Shooting me in combat should be harder because I'm
dodging around swinging a sword. If I've split my attention to
defensive mode then maybe, just maybe...
