So the changes take effect during the casting time, and not at the
end of it, and the touch has to be made at the beginning of it?

So creature abilities cannot be added?  Errata have said they can, i.e.
the last one that stated you have to spend xp for it.

So which is it? no creature abilities? or creature abilities?
