My game and more
My game lasted 9 days. The adventurers were hired by a torite to retrieve
a artifact of Ra(yes this should be a hint about the person hiring the
adventurers but they don't find out he is a bad guy in disguise until it
is too late). Anyways, the party travel to Avalon and follows the trail
to find the item. After a scene at a brothel noone, especially father
warrick, will forget the party found the location of the item. They
retrieved the item and brought it back to rougtero. Delievering the item
to the "Torite", They find out that he was really Doom, my evil actor.
Something was reported stolen from the enclave and arrests were made but
the item stolen was not recovered.
On a completely other note: I like Lyle's version of the parry skill as
long as it is a flat base cost and not dependant on the weapon used. The
one problem that everyone is missing is that the reason the parry skill
doesn't effect much is that most people giveup better DVs in favor of
less penalties and slower movement.(Better armor such as plate mail) If
you worry more about DVs and not movement, the parry skill can be very
good. EX: a warrior with average stats, full platemail, helment and a
shield, with
a parry skill sufficient to get a +6 can have a CDV of over 30. A +10
combat mod against this person would need a crit just to hit. Since most
people use Leather giving them 9-14 CDVs a +6 won't help them out
much.(note: the full plate and shield are made of steel in this example
and the parry skill must be 18 to auto it) A +20 Combat Mod would need a
10+ to hit rather than anything but a 1 on the d20. I'll go with that one
just to know that the five swings might not connect due to high DVs
