(working with a PWR 16 from a previous example ... 1 unit/30 minutes = 16
units/8 hours)
As opposed to having to rest 8 hours ... the same amount of time it would
take to recharge after dropping 2 lightening bolts and 4 minis?
The only way I can see this as being more than a minor problem is your
auger with minibolt, defer 1, and ambush (and 5 units
for this example).
Also give him someone who may wait at the ambush site with him and wake
him up in 2 hour intervals, and otherwise stand watch.
Augers set up ambush site.
Auger1 defers 2 minibolts (4 units)
Auger1 sleeps 2 hours (duration of defer, regains 4 units)
Auger1 casts defer again on the existing deferred minibolts (2 units)
Auger1 defers a 3rd minibolt (2 units)
Auger1 sleeps 2 hours (regain 4 units)
Auger1 re-defers everything (3 units)
Auger1 defers a 4th minibolt (2 units)
... sleeps
he stops deferring at 4
When it's time to attack, he gets to pop off 4-5d6 of minibolt during the
ambush.
(presuming he can thought activate more than 1/round and/or can cast AND
thought activate ... gonna have to look that one up)
However, he forgoes movement and doing ANYTHING other than casting and
sleeping for however long he wishes to do so.

Standard actor procedure for my guys from here on out, attack 5 hours
after sundown :)
(something new for the night of silliness :) )
