To put it simply, the game is designed around combat. That's the only
purpose of the rating system, and combat is a key component of adventure
design, according to the manual. In fact, according to the manual, a big
melee should be the climax of every adventure...

Combat Finales: 4
Non-combat adventures: 6
Dan looks at the exprience averages advised to be given out (36.3.5.5)
adventure exprience: 1,200 to 2000
combat experience 500 to 1,300
I apologize if my writing in other areas of the manuscript was so unclear to give you the illusion
that the game should all be around combat. I will grant you, the combat system within the game
is designed around combat.... and thus produced the rating system. But it was never my intention
to make this all just be fighting.
