Just want to make a silly point that I want everyone to think about, and I 
really mean think about, before snapping off a knee-jerk reply.

Following the arguments that have been placed against Hirudo, that they 
are unbalancing, that they are disruptive to a party, and that their
capabilities are excessively deadly... We must immediately ban Priests
of Scrogg. They meet these criteria. So do Marines with the Immobilize 
skill... as well as any priest with the combination of Curse and Paralyze...

I could go on for a while with this line of thinking... And I'm sure 
that you all could come up with arguments to refute me... Don't. Like
I said, I didn't mean the argument to be taken seriously.

My point is that before you make some grand sweeping statement, think.
Think about how that same statement could be applied to some other facet,
and would end up sounding ridiculous. If you can provide an argument that
applies only to what you are discussing, then it is more appropriate.

As a final note, I would like to encourage a little more civility. If
we keep sniping at each other, things could rapidly degrade, and feelings
could get hurt, and all the forward progress we've made will go down the 
toilet.
