Re: New Geleians have landed!

I think we all agreed(or I thought we did) that steel as a +1 weapon was just too
insane. Money as we all know is a penny a ton(well not quite, but close), and
being able to in effect buy enchanted weapons is just a bit too ugly. Esspecially
considering the combat system we have where you arne't a good warrior unless you
are whipping of 5 attacks a around(that +5 dmg = another hit).

I think steel armor should very definately remain as protective as it currently is,
as should Iron armour. However, steel weapons, iron weapons, and adamantite
weapons should drop by 1 plus(include all other funky metals in there as well).
Adamantite is acknowledged as being very rare and hard to get. It should be equal
to a magic item in my opinion. Steel is just too easy to make for it to be rare,
esspecially considering that the priests of Tarus are now gone, and I can off
the top of my head count 12 adventurers who know how to make the stuff.
Anyways, the base point is that steel shouldn't be a +1 weapon, but it should make
for better armor.

As for Steve's idea of the bows. *grin* funny ya should mention that, I was thinking
up much the same thing for an upcoming adventure in a week or two(if such a
beast has not already been run this past weekend). I'll submit a list of weapons
for folks to take a look at in a little bit and to ponder over.

A limit of "being very costly" has always meant no limit as far as accessibility to adventurers is concerned. This action has raised the scale of the "to hit" rolls by one for the whole game. This is NOT the kind of action that should have been taken on without the consoltation.
