Re: Political intrigue

Then what about cooking up an alternate list of spell groups for Scrogg. I personally
find Scrogg in bad taste and unlikeable(hince why I never use them when GM'ing). I
think if however the overal role of them being the priests of 'pleasure' was put
more forward, that a lot of folks would have less of a problem with'em and use'em
more. Currently, from the notes I've been making this past week, Scrogg is just
not gonna be a popular religion on Geleia. It will be somewhat acceptable in
the more debaucherous and declining cities(southham and possibly Liston), but it
will not in any means be a major force.

I remember several times it being said that Anubis was the major religion of
Geleia(this was before Chambria blew Ormandi to hell).

Also, this brings up another question I have. Why shouldn't elves be
worshipers of gods? Do the gods just ignore the elves? Also why can't
elves be priests? Do the god's energy/magic giving machines demand that
the target have a soul inorder to store the power? Also since this is
very much an elven dominated land, Mysticism(its the only elven religion
currently) is gonna be big. I know in the original Sylvan Isles campaign,
elves COULD be priests, even after the change. Do we want to continue
that trend? Or make it the same old same old.

Also, I have a couple of questions about the nature of magic. Where does elemental
magic come from? Same for divine magic. I've been under the impression that
they were opposite sides of the same coin.
