I believe that one of my examples of the use of parry was as a
defensive holding action until more help could arrive. :-)
I definitely believe that Steve is doing the right thing in putting
together the computer simulation. I am definitely looking forward
to those results (and I'd like to see the code as well; not that I
don't trust you, but I know how easy it is to make a seemingly
insignificant coding error that throws everything askew). So,
John, thanks for that last clarification, but without actual numbers
from a good simulation model, it seems that what is in my mind
as being correct will remain different from what is in yours and
Steve's mind.
So, until we have those numbers, why aren't mods limited in some
manner (especially given their cost for certain backgrounds)? I had
mentioned yesterday that I thought they should be limited by the
associated stat for the mod. What does everyone else think? After
all, isn't everything in AQ supposed to be limited by something?
