No that would be wrong. If you want to take damage to give a little more
power to some incant you picked up go for it. But we need to say the
power only comes while you are holding the gem. We should also add in that
only 1 individual can use a gem at a time. It would be kind of cool though
to have 2 warriors standing side by side ( or back to back ) holding each
others hand with a Matrix gem in the middle.

The whole holding the gem vs. touching the gem while making an incant is
irrelevant if you say the effects are only while you are in possession
of the gem. Plus as most people have said if you take damage you are back
to square one in your incantation.

Whats twicking? It sounds bad. I'll avoid that and just tweek the rules.
