Matrix Gems require a day of study to attune to. You must hold the
gem to your skin for the duration of that day of attunement. When it is
on your person and touching your skin, you recieve the appropriate bonuses
to skills/spell units/incants according to the type of gem you have.  If
the Matrix Gem is not touching your skin, you do not recieve any bonuses.
