On the contrary. There is every reason. As long as he is the only
one who can work the portal (which can't really be the case as he
isn't awake 24x7 and Dan specifically said it could be learned)
then the nexus is controlled by whoever controls this guy. With
him gone the playing field is leveled and anyone can step up to
bat. I'm not worried about what comes through. There aren't any
new portals there. Any portals there have been there for _YEARS_
and someone knows where all of them go. No biggie. If your worried
send through a task force to scout them out. Send suicide squads
who are willing to revocate from the other side. Not that big a
deal.
