I agree with Wright.  If this magical thing allows easy transport of
earthen materials without slow barges and the like, then Roughtero is a
target for some kind of muscle or outright invasion.  Having one of these
things just appear in a setting for no reason should have consequences.  I
guarantee if one of these things appeared in another setting it would be
extinguished or abused in an instant.  And it wouldn't just automatically
squash other peoples in game accomplishments.
