RE: Nomad matrix gems



Why do we bother discussing this, you ask? Consider this - a nomad creates a
luck amulet using his matrix gem to boost its rank, and than uses that luck
amulet to score a crit on your character and kill you. While I agree that
the situation doesn't come up very often (either nomads with matrix gems or
those that go on a random killing spree) at some point it will come up and
then it will be come important, if not to you, then to one of the players in
the game you are running or one of the other members of your party.

Another way to look at this discussion is to look at things that have been
discussed in the past. An example would be drowning. Doesn't happen very
often, but when it does, you want the GM to be able to rely on a consistent
ruling that won't have everyone second-guessing him.
