Greg...  I have never argued that its easier to think of things as 
batteries. Batteries is easier to do math on and conceptualize. But
I think the underlying structure is still channeling. *shrug*

But still their must have been elemental "fire" magic present for yuo
to even be able to cast the spell to the Elemental plane of fire. That's
what he was saying.
