Re: Blue Fields




Wow! This topic sucks. Any real answer creates some munchkin like
abuses. Possibilities:

1) You are relative to the universe (ie you don't move but your planet and
   solar system and galaxy all do. See Ya)

2) You are relative to some thing that produces at least X gravity well
   (ie your planet or maybe a large star ship... anyone ever tried this
   aboard a boat sized space craft?)

3) Your relative to whatever you were relative to when the blue field
   was cast.

Blech. All of these have bad points. For playability reasons (1) is
undesirable. Option 2 seems to be the most widely used and works great
as long as your planet side (99.999% of the time). Option 3 would mean
that you would stay moving with the boat when you got blue fielded and
this has been done as well.

My personal vote is for #3. But this does mean that if I'm carrying a
creature and then blue field it, it does stay with me until its un
blue-fielded... this could be used in munchkin manner.
