You don't need a body to transmog... just a creature.

Ra is not a type of creature he is a specific creature. Transmog might
be finessable to pull that off, wouldn't know. Also, 1000 is a _LOT_
of rates. If you have that kind of rates (effective) than you don't
need to be Ra.

What makes gods gods isn't rates... its the awesome power they get
from their worshippers. Even if you are an exact replica of Ra, you
don't have the divine links to the worshippers therefore you are a
pud and they will whack you.

Your stretching and they cannot do this at will. They are elemental.
They are composed of elemental air when they are physically manifested.
