And I say your wrong. The spell cannot possibly be recast every round
that would violate everything else in the system. Triggers:
Always On: self explanatory... its always on, its always trying to confer
its effect on something or itself
though trigger: you can triger the effect on or off with a thought. It
will last until you either don't have the item or you
turn it off.
There is no constantly triggered option. Zero. Your confusing charges
and triggers. Seperate issues... entirely. With a charged item I'd agree
with your reasoning and say the spell effect would last its normal
duration. "Effect" changes all that.

Then you just have to say that a bow does +1 damage also. *shrug* I
would think if it was possible to use the bow in some way to get more
damage from a normal projectile there would be a "lethal attack"
option in the bow skill. There isn't. Therefore at somepoint the decision
was made that nothing the person could do could increase damage. Maybe
the enchanted bow chucks the arrow faster (resulting in more range also,
right)? But it doesn't. Therefore no extra damage.
A bow for extra damage should be charged so that it can cast an effect
upon the arrows.

Always on does not mean "recasts every round". Lets not shed light through
assumption and obuscation.

Not. You don't need to recast to change an affect. In fact I would rule
that your item couldn't even be created untill it has four elemental
masteries on it or the elemental mastery skill allows you to alter which
elements it works on.

Again. You are confusing trigger and effect. An effect item can be
triggered. Its still an effect item. It doesn't cast at that point it
just makes its "EFFECT" felt. If you take off an effect ring you become
invisible, even if it was triggered.

What? Are you drugged? You cannot pass around a ring of invisibilty and
have you and all your firends invisible.
You put on the ring. If its always on you become invisible. If it requires
a trigger, you trigger it. In either case when you take it off you
become visible. Period. That's they way they work now, thats the way they
worked yesterday. Where does "suck for eternity" come in? I think your
arguing that they should have more power than they do.
If its a rechargable ring you can pass it around and your friends can
blow charges and the effect is actually "cast" and would have a normal
duration.
An effect ring of weapon charm can be built to charm any weapon you
have. When you hand that weapon to someone else, its no longer charged.
When the arrow leaves the effect bow, it is no longer enchanted. Hence it
cannot hit a creature 'takes magic weapon to hit'. Can't do it.
