Re: Elisina

Hey folks,
Before we start a war over this particular issue I want to point
out a few points of interest. I had a character who was involved directly
with the death of Elisina. Now when I see the ill feelings that are
flying over a single death of a "game" character I wonder what the big
deal is. Yes we have all lost our favorite characters and we were all a
little sad, but lets not jump down eachothers throats.
I have to say some words of defense on the other side of the
fence. Ok I was playing a priest of Ra. Now the adventure was based
around going out and killing Hirudo. So you were on a boat full of Hirudo
hunters pretending not once, but twice or more to be a Hirudo. This
many people in character could not tell the difference between real and
fiction Hirudo. My character just knows from his temple, "Hirudo are the
scum of the earth and I should destroy them at every chance." He got
assaulted twice and decided he couldn't take the chance. So he and
several others incapacitated you and killed you. End of story. I don't
remember trying to "dump your body". As I recall, the point we actually
assaulted Elsina the character was after she launched a lightning bolt at
the galley. Out of character we all knew that you didn't mean to hit
anybody, but large jolts of electricty tend to arc to metal (path of least
resistance and all that jazz) and you aimed at a room full of metal.
Out of character I feel bad that you lost your favorite character,
but in character my character felt like you might be a hirudo. He thought
you should be destroyed and he succeeded with other people's help. I
don't remember all of the details, but it was a long time ago. This is
just how I remember it. So please try to take it as an objective view of
what I saw in character. I took no out of character knowledge into the
situation.
