*nod* both sound appropriate.  Lances never survived the first or second
attack.  Its pretty much an automatic that they are gonna break.  Have the
lance make a strength check each time it is used to attack with.  The
first time its a 3d6 check, then each successive uses increases the check
by 1d6.

re:holding on to your sword when you jam it into someone: 2d6 horsemanship
check for a successful hit.  If you roll a 1, make a 3 or 4 die check
and if you blow it, you loose your horse.

re:hawksoar: 3 die agility check to avoid sucking dirt, higher check if
	you are doing a plunging attack.  Or instead of agility, since this
	is mental control over the spell, what about intellegence?  i.e.
	controlling the magic to keep yourself properly oriented.
