Yep. Pure F'in Magic. Thats what a fantasy game is all about. Or so
the tech detractors tell me.

Again... yeah.

The side affects of such mutations are also up to the magic (ie GM).
If the adventurer has the requisite skills and makes some rolls he can
probably provide a better, cleaner and more efficient mutate. That is,
afterall, what seperates the artists from the dabblers.
