RE: the torite ruling

(dan's messge wasn't included cause my mailer sux, sorry)

First of all my message was personal because that's waht lyle requested
our opinion, and as for making judgements before all the facts are out
well once agian lyle asked for opinion.

to start with it is important that tor would accept a natural born
follower. Due to the recent ruling on mutates a player must expend
experience to gain mutations thus making it his own ability and skill
once the spell is over that is ther mutee in question.
the only differnce between buying exc strength and Regular str is
the spell mutate.
I argue that some sort of magic is required to learn drills as well
since only a priest can learn them and tor has the ability to revoke
them. so my question how is gettting mutated and buying an ability
any different from buying a drill.

If tor is going to see mutates as sacralidge thats fine, but i still think
keiths punishment (consequence) was too harsh. Ignorance may be no excuse
for the crime it self ;however keith is innocent of the intent to violate
tor's tenants.

also i think he book says that torites are allowed to use weapon based
magic (such as enchant weapon)

(oh yeah this message is not personal)
