Re: New Race thing.
1) re: quarter breeds. Geleian society is more bigoted and frowns on
misogenation(sp? mixing of the races). So the number of
half-breeds is correspondingly lower. Then the chances of
a half breed and a half breed, and a full breed breeding are
really low. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and elven
eyes find no beauty in orcs, dwarves, or lizards. Same for
the other races. Okay granted this is a bit of a stretch,
but hey. The real reason is the insane number of quarter
breeds I've seen cropping up. We've always had a problem
with people being 1/4 orc; dwarf; elf; human or some such.
The raw starting power benefit to these characters is just
mega, and its very rare that such characters are missing
important abilities. Even if the character is legit, as
I believe and hope the majority are, they are still way
over powered from any other rate 2 character. Each one
of those special abilities represents 5K xp extra.
2) re: High orcs. They have different abilities. Not the natural
wrestlers of the standard orc. They are healthier and
more in line with Tolkien Uruk'Hai than the runt orcs.
