Adv. summary

Hook: Able persons needed to recover items of worth from north of town.
Good pay...

Well, not the most original hook, but it spoke true.

The party was hired by a barrister of Riis, and at least some of the party
was aware of his connection. The barrister talked money, and explained
the need for haste, then gave them a packet containing information
relavent to the mission.
Some info was true, some made up to look like the stuff was really being
recovered, not stolen.

Plot:
A caravan is ambushed by some bandits north of Brimshire by a long day's
travel. The party is told a story about a merchant caravan from Southham,
but the caravan really is from Liston... and contains a Barritt. What the
party never found out is that during the ambush, some crossbowman got
extremely lucky and stuffed a bolt into the Barritt's eye, killing him
instantly. (yes, this has happened to rating 100 characters) The caravan
is overrun and when they find the body of a Barritt they pick up every
trace of the carraiges and retreat to the woods. The encampment contains
a large 60x 60 building in which they store the stuff, and the leader of
the Brigands-- Brandon Something-- Starts to worry about what to do about
the body.

Enter the party. They travel and hear some rumors about uppity Brigands
in the area, and they find the tracks of the caravan North of Brimshire.
They track a hidden trail through the woods and are discovered by a watch.
A quick alarm is sounded, and the party hears multiple people drop from
trees. One is captured, one is killed by flying impale, and 2 escape.
The captured one is convinced (he has nothing left to lose) to lead the
party to the camp to talk to the leader. The party is led to the camp, and
they are surprised by a volley of flaming arrows over the main building.
They open the door to find the leader surprised (or afraid) of their
arrival, and he rushed to grab his obviously Adamantite Greatsword. There
is a stand off, and eventually Valentino talks him down from his near
histerical "We didn't mean to kill him! We didn't mean it!" They start
to talk and Valentino eventually makes a deal of a powerful magic item for
the Exquisite Gramshire crossbow that Brandon has, and the Barritt
attached to it. He gave a good deal on the item, because as he knew and
Val didn't, that body and bow are trouble. The stipulation was that the
body couldn't be within 100 miles of the camp, and an air mage put a
strange bobby pin in the clothes of the body to locate it every day or so.

Outcome: Val has nice xbow, and did something with a body that is yet
undetermined. (contact Pat)

Brigandor makes trade for his reciently disappeared sword, which seems to
have befallen some strange accident rendering it -1 hit and damage
(reforged into a sword from a sheet).

Some Barritts are VERY pissed, and are going to come looking for a
crossbow(+ something), an adamantite Gsword (+something), and a certain
body...

Plot? Fuck yeah! Now the adventurers get to see the Barritts like no one
usually gets to tell about!

If I left anything out, correct me.
Whoever Gms next in Geleia, remember this, especially if in Southham or
Liston.
