Actually, I think some GMs have adjudicated consequences. If my
memory serves, Jeven ruled that a character who had several mutates
on him was no longer of the same race as other characters and hense
could not cast a spell on someone which required the target to be of
the same race.
In my opinion this made sense and for SOME characters this would
curb the urge to get more than X mutates for fear of this.
