Umm... brava Jevan. Take a stand. I'm not going to GM any more magic
until someone casts a spell at me.

Seriously. Mutated regen is a fact of life. It should come with a penalty.
Increased metabolism certainly. This needs an energy source. The energy
source needs to be defined at the time of the casting. For most this will
default to having to eat a _LOT_ when they need to regenerate.
