Adamantite is 2x as heavy.  Teresium is, I THINK, pretty much like tin.
Adamantite weapons would penetrate armour much better.  Nice hard edge,
and a lot of weight.  2 Handed swords were the rage for killing a 
guy in plate armour cause it had the weight/momentum to actually bend the
crap around him and let you break the bones under neither, something
a 1 handed sword could not do, or many 1 handed weapons of all sorts.
When dealing with plate and mail armor, penetration is whats important, and
a heavy metal like adamantite would be ideal.  *shrug*
