How do you limit DV? Your DV is almost self limiting. CDV is STR/5 +
AGI/5 + 3 + whatever.
Whatever includes shields, armor, and weapons. There isn't much more
besides magic. If your
lucky and have 15s for  the stats you get a 9 to start off with +
steel shield (+4) + Steel plate (+8)
+ Helmet (+1) and sword(+1) = 23.

This message is based on the fact that you read your email before you
send it and you meant to
say DV and not DP ( since the 'P' key is nowhere near the 'V' key).
Otherwise ignore this message
and proofread your mail before you send it.

I had to go this way since you mentioned being able to live past 2
fireballs indicates a problem but
you said this "Is working out fine" in Mike's game.
