Re: matrix gems
What foo is saying is it don't matter. If you don't have the gem you don't
get the +2 ranks. Say some nomad hands me a luck amulet and then hands me
a nomadic matrix gem. Besides my being in pain I get to add 2 ranks to the
amulet if I use it while holding the gem that is trying to kill me.
When the nomad hands me the amulet ALL of his incants drop 2 ranks since he
no longer has the gem. Bad time for a nomad who had a blade block that was
running at 2 ranks left because that just goes away.
Now when he gets the gem back he goes back up +2 for all his incants. Which
is still better than the mage or priestly where you need to heal back up to
the 50% more SUs that you just gave up ( assuming you were above your normal
max units ).
