The platform is nothing like the Oniverio skimmer made up of living 
creatures.  The technology for the skimmer does involve telepathy...and is 
far more advanced than the platforms I was referring to in all ways.  The 
Oniverian technology in it's construction is an antidote to the oorn venom 
neccesarry to allow workers to construct  the bottom layers of the structure 
across the top of the live oorn, and a repellant to keep the tentacles of 
the oorn from sweeping across the deck, and prevent it from growing up 
between the decking.
