Re: Nexus-remove
All,
Gots' to agree with Wright and Greg here. Nothing to get all bent out of
shape about.
Yes, something major happened to the setting. Used to happen at the end
of every semester when I was new to AQ (okay, compared to some, I'm still
new).
Will things change? Yeah, they will. I've got plot lines that I need to
adjust. But it's not as though I have to acquire time on a Cray computer
to work out the results.
Will things end because Rougtero is too boring? Well, I have found that
experiences are what you make of them. What place easier to affect things
than in your own mind and with your imagination? If they are boring to
you, think of new _and fun_ ways to make them interesting. IF you're
having some difficulty, talk to another GM. I have found that players
most like adventures that are in some manner linked.
NOTE: Please, I beg, let us not start a war of who can create the
more powerful actor in order to simply screw other GMs. That will become
quite apparent to the players, and they will tire of it and leave. No one
will win that conflict except the other clubs which will pick up our
angried players. Let's put it to rest before it starts.
There are many feasible and consistant solutions to running adventures in
other relems - both Greg and Wright point out viable options. People talk
of going to West End as though THEY had to walk the entire way. And if
you want to start starting your adventures out of another town on Lojem,
hey, great. Let me know if you get a write-up started and I'll be sure to
include it in the seemingly never finishable write-up for Lojem.
Sure, I ran adventures through the nexus - but it wasn't a crutch. My
more favored adventures stayed within two weeks of Rougtero without portal
hopping.
So, like Wright and Greg suggested, let's all try make this work and have
a good time doing so - it what role playings all about.
Thanks for you time,
BJ
