RE: Nexus-remove

Hmmmm... Wasn't involved since I was on Andy's game but I have some
comments that are spread through this responce. BTW the other people
who got a message of the upcoming flooding of Karfelon were the Torites
( since it was renegade Torites who caused the problem ).

First I have the question in responce to a statement in some other message
not included here. New portals are immediately revocated? Does this extend
to all things the Nexus would suck up? If you Giant stride does it just not
work? When the nexus went into effect if you giant strided from just outside
West End ( the limits of the Nexus effect ) to just inside the area you
would end up coming outside the portal. And if this effect stops new portals
from being put up does this effect expire in 25 game years since it was
stated that the Forlani where expelled from the world for 25 years.

So to restate that question:
	Can new portals/otherworlds be made?

and the followup question:
If not for how long? ( "forever" or some time )

No one but Adventurers have a stake in the otherworld. GMs have worlds that
were accessable from there. The worlds weren't destroyed just the most
convienient way to get there.

OK need I point out 200 mets is West End. This would not take days to reach.
When Dan first brought the Portal into play he gave the limits of its effects
and West End ( which should really be where we run from since it is a coastal
city without any portal generated "problems" ) along with East End are outside
the limits.

Correct

Don't care.

How is it there is a temple still? I seem to recall them being hunted down
and killed for rewards by hit squads. Sure if they knew of their soon to
come disfavor they could fortify somewhat but the people collecting on the
hides of the Taurusians are quite persistant. FYI.

What are you spewing on Andy? I don't recall much conversation at all about
letting Dan run the newbies. I have no problem with it.

Our gods aren't Omnipotent, hell they can't even keep themselves from being
killed. Rule #1 of being a god = NO personal appearances. If you must be
seen give the some sort of Holographic image with feedback dampners (sp?) so
it can't be used as a way to get some death power back to you.

Hmmm. Don't like the concept unless the game is selfenclosed and all a dream
but that ticks me off some as well.

Rougtero just got less interesting if you can't have portals anywhere near
it just popping up.
