Switzerland is neutral ground for 1 reason and 1 reason only...its
too expensive to take it.  You cannot take switzerland conventually
without tossing a VERY significant portion of your population into
a meat grinder.  You can nuke it to hell and gone and win that
way, but Switzerland is all defense and have no offensive army.

re: Ludicrous...unless you control the 1 route of communication
(the nexus) coordination of an assault is going to be all but
impossible.  The guy in the middle will have the absolute upper
hand.  You can't launch anything but a frontal assault at him and
he can just reinforce and reinforce and reinforce.  It comes down
to simple attrition then. =)  So either collapse the portal,
take your chances that you have more bodies to pile, or work
with the conqueror.  Those are your choices.
