I think twinking with the existance of the nexus would be on par with having
a GM vaporize my priests of Ra that hunt Hirudo, or the guys in the
mechanical suits, or any other creation I've put into the system ...
Translation: don't twink with my plot elements without asking me first (yes
I am aware of the irony in that statement in regard to the creation of the
nexus ... I'm not even going to begin to address the subject)
Besides, the nexus could become THE reason to breathe life into Rugtero ...
suddenly merchants who could only trade locally can now trade globally, for
pennies! As a GM, I have access to EVERYWHERE in the game within a week's
travel of Rugtero (assuming one can cover the area effected by the nexus'
"no portal zone" in a week) All of a sudden, Rugtero is/could be Casablanca
... why not run with it?

On the other hand, the Sky City was a pretty damned cool idea as well ...
the only SERIOUS problem I saw with it was its potential to COMPLETELY hose
the Rugtero setting ... It would have been nicer to have it at least a day
or two outside the town. Big brownie points, though for having CHARACTERS
come up with the thing.
