My reply to the Beacon thing is that it is the priestly following that
matters.  There are those who follow and those that don't follow so well.
Bob (at least in Geleia) is setting things up  so that the higher ups
don't question his authority, and so the lower ones then tend to defer to
him.  In centralia there is no question, especially with the endorcement
of Claude.  In Roughtero, Bob doesn't really care, but he was there for a
long time and is familiar with the people.  Enough character stuff.  The
idea is that since it is hard to actually preach in game to determine
one's charisma, power in the priesthood must be determined from more
measurable actions.
