you normally need a 16str to wield a 2 handed sword in 2 hands.
So to wield the great sword with 1 hand, you need a 20str, or
16 exceptional since each exceptional counts as I think 4pts of
str (using what we lost as far as stats went when we switched to
the exceptional thing).
