RE: blue fields
Would someone with a book handy please post the defined target
of Lightning Bolt? (Sheesh, I get to game so seldom that I guess I
could get away with just bringing my book in to work and leaving it
here; maybe I'll do that.)
Anyway, gang, it is obvious to any casual observer (or at least any
member of this list who isn't ankle-deep-head-first in argument over
this) that there are at least two camps with different perspectives.
Since each camp feels that they are 100% right and wants the other
to convert, we basically have a religious discussion on our hands.
Guys, unless someone is willing to budge, this will continue to get
_nowhere_ fast. I'd like to toss out the suggestion that we table this
discussion until people are willing and able to approach it from a
fresh perspective. Give everyone a week or two to sleep on it and
hopefully have a chance to come up with a new way of looking at
the issue, a fresh perspective if you will. Please?

In the case of items, such as a door, if a part moves it is no longer a
part of the object. Until such a time that it is made part again. In
the case of a fluid like water, I wouldn't think that flow would
constitute movement in the sense that it is still the same volume. A boat
moving is independent of the planet, so is not part of the same object.
Living things always are their own object, hense why people can't catch 2
people with a single target spell when one is holding the other.
