easy sinking
Hmmm
just came up with an idea that's easier than the 50 pages of how something
in AQ sinks ...
Instead of a base amount one sinks depending on armor, and adding 500
rolls to combat ... let the GM adjudicate how something sinks ... to
reflect additional difficulty in swimming, add the agi penalty and
strength penalty that the armor one is wearing bestows to the difficulty
roll
i.e. +1d6 leather and chain, +2d6 plate.
Unfortunately it re-opens the whole "Does my exceptional stat effect my
skill check?" arguement.
Unless one arbitrarily words it "Leather and Chain armors add an
additional 1d6 to swimming check difficulty, plate armors +2d6"
And it was just COINCIDENCE (I swear) that the numbers JUST HAPPENED to
work out the same way ...
Anybody willing to play ball here?
Again, check expert.cc.purdue.edu/~johnhogg/AQSTUFF/drowntxt.txt and give
me opinions BEFORE FRIDAY if changes need to be made. I CAN'T make the GM
meeting, so if you want to give feedback, do so now.
