I agree with all Wright's other examples, but they seem to be examples 
of using a shield or similar device.  I view the "defensive skill" as 
being more like parrying with a weapon, especially if it is to be a 
sub-skill of the weapon skills.

just my opinion...can't let a football reference slide by without 
commentary :)
