RE: Split Dice Proposal
Kris,
My apologies. I think I had assumed it was more complex than it is.

Hmm..I am probably being dense, but I don't see the problem. Let's say
for argument sake I roll 5 dice versus my long sword skill and make it as
per normal. Let's even say I have no clue how I want to allocate them
until after I completed my roll. BEFORE I actually roll any to hits I
would have to state out load the allocation otherwise I could I decide
how many are multi attacks and how many are lethal, precise etc. I would
then say I am using 3 dice of my roll for multi attacks, one dice of
precise for my first attack , and one dice of precise for my second
attack (I liked Greg's suggestion). After making this outload
declaration (like using any other skill), I would start rolling my
attacks as normal. If I make the first attack than I get that attack
plus the +2 lethal, If I then fail the second attack I get nothing more.
How does this leave any room for cheating?

Multiple dice rolling is always confusing, and easily abused. I know Greg
really likes to roll the whole set at once..... but in the hands of
someone else who is less then he, it is damned easy to decide what dice
are for what AFTER the roll.
To get this skill through approval at all will at least require a very
specific protocal on this dice rolling. Some way to ensure it can't be
abused needs to be part of the proposal.

I don't really care. Maybe to be consistent during the action phase is
when you announce it (right before you roll the dice) similar to when
you say "I am going to multi attack enemy 1" and then roll the dice.
Sound reasonable?
