Soul Hold Does prevent deliver.  Read the spell.  That is it's purpose.
As for pith, it isn't an unrevokable effect, so clarity should work.

Some spells update like the Air temperature, unlike the change temp spell.
This would mean that the Air temp spell would overwhelm the change temp.

Some spells like soul hold and seal are the _last_ word when it comes to
their own balliwick, and you can do little but revoke them or suffer the
consequences.
