Can't field any of that, dude.  (never even heard of The Brethren ... must
be before my time)

I can assure you that last year's newbie game had nothing to do with
Sylvan Elves, Brethren, or anything in that manner.  It was more or less
localized in the immediate vicinity of the island they were from.

Again, though, are the biases character driven or player driven?
