1) I was implying that the group of 8 people regularly laughing, joking,
and having other symptoms of "FUN" do not have such reactions to Saturday
Night games.  If I colored them to expect otherwise, then thank you, that
is quite the compliment.

2) I'm unclear if you mean newbies should have no In character or Out of
character knowledge of the main campaign.

In character, of course not.  They started off in the boonies in a
xenophobic society and arrived in Rugtero as a result of the Newbie game.

OOC, The newbies should be familiar with the rules, familiar with the
setting enough to create a local character if they want.  That is all they
were imparted with when they left.

Were the biases you are referring to in regard to how they played their
characters (IE aloof or xenophobic, which was emphasized by the setting
and storyline of the newbie game) or in PLAYER attitude?

Please bounce me 2-3 examples and I'll field them if I can.
