Gotta ask... is this GM material or would an e-mail to dan@aquest.com
have been more appropriate? Also I thought the club had gotten the
manuals at one point? Did we buy more?

I don't suppose anyone has any paperwork saying anything do they? Any
paperwork saying manuals were actually purchased? Does dan have one signed
off on by a club official saying they were received? Gotsta have paperwork.
If your going to run it, run it. I would also guess since the club is
pretty much handling its own affairs now there's no way anyone is going
to make Dan hall all those manuals around right? Some club type officer
is going to make sure those babies show up at newbie games?

Paper trail. Dan, if I were you I'd definately get Kevin to sign off 
(in writing) that he has taken receipt of the manuals on behalf of the
club. Gotta have that in case manuals get lost again. Of course if the
club doesn't have a record of having paid you, you might need to charge
them again :) (Mind I'm assuming the 'again' part. All I remember is
a vote to buy them. No one discusses the books at meetings. *grin*)
