on consequences

Just this week I ran a town action with a character who went to the mages
guild looking to get changed. He wanted to get a phantasmal transmogrify
(something which I decided was against the law) and had money. So-- the
mage saw instantly that he was some kind of criminal (maybe he killed a
Barritt) and became very paranoid. The fee was 10,000 falcons, and many
people know exactly what he looks like because he pre-decided what he
wanted to look like. Eventually the change will backfire, but he really
in game did it just to look cool, not for torque so I let him off easy.

The suspicion and weariness should be orders of magnitude for
body-swapping, which goes against almost everything that people know about
life. Oh, yeah, and there is that thing about execution by vivisection...
