Yes, but if a warrior spends all of his time defending he will never
win.  What do they say, "the best defense is a good offense".  At
max they would get one attack a round.  Eventually they will be
hacked (or magiced) to pieces by only defending with the mega
shield.

I like the idea of a chosen weapon or a class of priestly weapons
(obviously not for priests of Isis).  Maybe staffs, daggers, slings, and
bows (basically woosy weapons to be used as a last resort sort of
thing).
