Well, then we better pitch Sleep, Paralyze, Dark Lock... and a host of other spells, drills and
Abilities. Yes, I admitted (read my mail down below) that there was little defense after failing
An encure attack.... But the same is true for hosts of spells and other attacks, some of which
Hurt you greatly or incapacitate you if you MAKE the resistance check. 

Hirudo are SUPPOSED to be scary, dangerous, threatening and dark. They were designed
And meant as a major campaign opponent.

If you are put down for a _DAY_ after _1_ spell with _NO_ save against it,
you are a deadman.  Cause he'll pick off your buddies if he just doesn't
wack you for giggles.
