I personally dislike the whole tech based theme of the gods, I find it
very cheesy and star trekish.

I like this type of magic, I agree with it. *shrug* It also
is a way for the GM to make accountable a priest to his god.
Otherwise why would they even care if someone did what they
directed?

And going by years and years of well known precident, they are
not the same thing. Lock Kylar proves this. It made elemental
magic not function at all, and divine magic go wonky and always
be a random spell effect.

But this is then contridicted teresium, and other stuff.

About divine items, I agree, there should be a different system.
I like more of the pious priest and near saint being the ones to
create divine items, not some common schmuk priest who just signed
up for the free donuts.

Also if divine magic is tech related, then how come a torite looses
the weapon group when he gets his weapon broke and getting it
reassembled doesn't fix it? A cruel ruling in my opinion.

I personally prefer the fixture where gods don't show up as much,
may be 1 in a 100 times(you call a number 1 to 100, and then roll
percentiles. if youg et it, you get help). As it is now, every
1 in 27 guys you wack will be taking you down with him as he
makes DI. I know if I'm going down and I worship someone who is
going to fuck me on the DI(all gods but Orus apparently), then my
'dying wish' is for ever SOB who ever did me wrong to go down
with me(judging by precident, the gods get off on wacking their
loyal worshipers and cruel manners).

Anyways, I think the gods should take less of a direct hand in
DIs, let servants or others handle it. Or just let it be that
if you get DI, its a get out of jail free card, not lets screw
you and the other folks with you(remembers his DI to Ra that destroyed
all his magical items and those of his party members). This
reaction roll business is just cruel in my opinion.

BLeh..I'm rambling, you get the point.
